Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 August 2026

These terms (regulamin) govern the use of DeckWave, a web application that turns markdown and raw notes into export-ready carousels. By using DeckWave you accept these terms. They are written to comply with Polish law, including the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means (ustawa o świadczeniu usług drogą elektroniczną) and the Consumer Rights Act (ustawa o prawach konsumenta).

1. Service provider and contact

DeckWave is operated by an individual service provider based in Poland, publishing under the name DeckWave at deckwave.live.

The official contact channel for all questions, complaints and withdrawal notices is @mrdeathpl on X. Messages are answered within 14 days at the latest.

2. The service

DeckWave lets you write, edit, style and export carousel slides. Slide rendering and export happen in your browser. A free plan offers unlimited watermarked exports. Registered users additionally receive 5 watermark-free Pro exports at no cost.

Technical requirements: a current desktop or mobile browser with JavaScript enabled and an internet connection.

3. Accounts

An account is optional and free. You must provide a valid e-mail address, keep your credentials confidential and be at least 16 years old (or have consent from a guardian). You may delete your account at any time by contacting us; deletion removes your profile data.

4. Lifetime Pro licence

Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase of 19.99 USD (the price shown at checkout is final and includes any applicable tax). It unlocks watermark-free exports and branding controls for the account that made the purchase, for as long as the service is operated.

Payments are processed by Stripe. DeckWave never receives or stores your card details. The licence is personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the text, images and exports you create. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload, and for not using DeckWave to create unlawful, infringing or harmful material.

Drafts are stored in your own browser (local storage). We do not store your slide content on our servers.

6. Prohibited use

You may not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the paywall of the service, nor resell access to it.

7. Liability

The service is provided with due care but without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Liability towards consumers is limited only to the extent permitted by the Polish Civil Code; nothing here excludes liability for damage caused intentionally or for statutory consumer rights.

8. Complaints (reklamacje)

If the service is not performing as described, send a complaint via @mrdeathpl on X including your account e-mail and a description of the problem. We respond within 14 days. Consumers may also use the EU ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr or turn to the Polish municipal consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa).

9. Right of withdrawal

Consumers and sole traders on consumer terms have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. Because Pro is digital content delivered immediately, this right may expire on delivery — see the Refunds & Withdrawal page for the full rules and the withdrawal form.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms for legal or technical reasons; the current version is always published on this page with its date. Changes never reduce rights already acquired with a purchase.

Polish law applies, without depriving consumers of the mandatory protection of the law of their country of residence. Disputes with consumers are resolved by the courts competent under general rules.
